Cost: $150/person or $500/foursome* (There must be one Big 10 alum per group)   $75/person** for use of driving range/putting greens and golf clinic (instead of a round of golf).

About the cost: $150/$500 include green fees, driving range, cart, credit to the golf shop, buffet dinner and charity donation. $75 includes clinic, driving range, putting greens, dinner and charity donation. Immediately following play, join fellow Big 10 Alumni for a post-golf reception, dinner and raffle.

About the play: The tournament will be played as a modified best ball. All players will hit from the tee, but all players will start from the best drive. There will also be longest drive and closest to the pin competition. Non golfers will have putting and driving range games.

About the Charity: The Ron Burton Training Village was founded by Ron Burton Sr., an alumnus of Northwestern University and former New England Patriot. This 5-week training camp, located in Gardner, Mass., reaches out to disadvantage youth in New England, most of whom attend on scholarships. SUMMER SOFTBALL IS BACK!!

Big Ten Alumni softball is back for summer 2008! There will be 1 weeknight team and 2 Sunday League teams. The teams play in the Boston West Coed Softball League at fields in and around the Boston area. The weeknight team will play 10-12 games on a specific night or nights to be determined. The Sunday league teams will only play on Sundays. The season will last from April to August. And finally, please keep in mind that the weeknight team is pretty competitive (not a good fit for novices), while the Sunday league teams are a slightly lower caliber of softball.
